συνανατέλλει μὲν αὐτῷ ὁ ζῳδιακὸς ἀπὸ γʹ καὶ κʹ μοίρας τοῦ Σκορπίου ἕως Τοξότου μοίρας αʹ καὶ κʹ· μεσουρανεῖ δὲ ἀπὸ Παρθένου γʹ ἕως Ζυγοῦ ιʹ
‘There rises with it (sc. the Beast, i.e. Lupus) the zodiac from 23 degrees of Scorpio up to 21 degrees of Sagittarius, and it culminates (lit. is in midheaven) from 3 of Virgo until 10 of Libra’

‘The Sun also, the great leader of day, by effecting twin equinoxes each year, in spring and autumn, the spring one in Aries and the autumn one in Libra, furnishes a very clear confirmation of the godly quality of the hebdomad: for each of the equinoxes occurs in a seventh month, and on them (sc. the equinoxes) it has been determined in the Law to celebrate the greatest and most sovereign festivals’
