Ὁ δὲ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ τοῦ Λέοντος κείμενος λαμπρὸς ἀστὴρ ὁμωνύμως τῷ τόπῳ, ἐφ’ ᾧ κεῖται, Καρδία Λέοντος προσαγορεύεται· ὑπὸ δέ τινων Βασιλίσκος καλεῖται, ὅτι δοκοῦσιν οἱ περὶ τὸν τόπον τοῦτον γεννώμενοι βασιλικὸν ἔχειν τὸ γενέθλιον.
‘The bright star lying in the heart of the Lion is called equally in name to the place, in which it lies, Heart of Lion; but according to some it is named Basiliskos, because those born around this place are reputed to have a royal nativity.’
