Ἐμοὶ γάρ, ὦ ἄνδρες, ὅπερ καὶ πρότερον εἶπον, φίλος ὢν Σώστρατος καὶ οἰκείως διακείμενος ἀπαντήσας ἐξ ἀγροῦ περὶ ἡλίου δυσμὰς συνεδείπνει, καὶ ἐπειδὴ καλῶς εἶχεν αὐτῷ, ἀπιὼν ᾤχετο.
‘For, gentleman, as I have said before as well, Sostratos, being a friend of mine and disposed as a house friend, came from the country to meet me around sunset and had dinner with me, and after it had been going well for him, he departed and left.’
