Τῶν δὲ πόλων [τοῦ κόσμου] ὁ μὲν λέγεται βόρειος, ὁ δὲ νότιος, βόρειος μὲν ὁ διὰ παντὸς φαινόμενος ὡς πρὸς τὴν ἡμετέραν οἴκησιν, νότιος δὲ ὁ διὰ παντὸς ἀόρατος ὡς πρὸς τὸν ἡμέτερον ὁρίζοντα.
