Μετὰ μέντοι γε τὴν θερινὴν τροπὴν οὐκέτι πρὸς τὰς ἄρκτους παροδεύων ὁ ἥλιος θεωρεῖται, ἀλλ’ ἐπὶ τὰ ἕτερα μέρη τρέπεται τοῦ κόσμου, διὸ καὶ κέκληται τροπικός.
