चतुर्विलग्नं प्रवदन्ति केन्द्रं ततः परं पाणफरं तु योगम् । आपोक्लिमाख्यं तु तृतीयमाहुर्लग्नाश्रयैषा त्रिविधैव संज्ञा ॥५३॥

caturvilagnaṃ pravadanti kendraṃ tataḥ paraṃ pāṇapharaṃ tu yogam | āpoklimākhyaṃ tu tṛtīyamāhurlagnāśrayaiṣā trividhaiva saṃjñā ||53||

‘The four houses (Caturvilagna) from the ascendant are called Kendra (angles). The houses following them are known as Pāṇaphara. The third group is called Āpoklima. The house from the lagna is called the Trividhā (three divisions).’
