षष्ठं तृतीयं दशमं च राशिमेकादशं चोपचयर्क्षमाहुः । होरागृहस्थानशशाङ्कभेब्यः शेषाणि चैभ्योऽपचयर्क्षमाहुः ॥५७॥

ṣaṣṭhaṃ tṛtīyaṃ daśamaṃ ca rāśimekādaśaṃ copacayarkṣamāhuḥ | horāgṛhasthānaśaśāṅkabhebyaḥ śeṣāṇi caibhyo'pacayarkṣamāhuḥ ||57||

‘The sixth, third, tenth, and eleventh zodiac signs are called Upacaya signs from those situated from zodiac sign of lagna. All the remaining ones are called Apacaya signs’
