εὗρον ἐγὼ τὸν μὲν Δία μοιρικῶς ὡρονομοῦντα καὶ τὴν Ἀφροδίτην κατὰ τοῦ ὡροσκόπου καὶ τῆς Σελήνης καὶ τοῦ Διὸς καὶ τοῦ κλήρου τῆς τύχης ἀγαθοδαιμονοῦσαν καὶ ἑῴαν ἀνατολικὴν, καὶ τοῖς ἀριθμοῖς προσθετικὴν, καὶ δεκατεύουσαν τὴν τριταίαν τῆς Σελήνης, καὶ τὸ δωδεκατημόριον αὐτῆς Σκορπίον τετυχηκότα καὶ τὸν διέποντα τοῦ ὡροσκόπου τὸν Δία κατὰ κάθετον ὡρονομοῦντα.

‘I found Jupiter apportioning the hours (i.e, in the Ascendant) in terms of degree, and Venus—with respect to the Ascendant and the Moon and Jupiter and the lot of fortune—being in (the place of) Agathos Daimon, at its eastern rising, additive in its numbers, and in superior (quartile) aspect to the Moon on the third day, and Scorpio happened to be its dodecatemorion, and the hour-ruler of the Ascendant, Jupiter, was apportioning the hours along the perpendicular.’
